Martin 1937 00-18 Shaded Top Acoustic Guitar with modern hard case

Original shaded top that was refinished in 1994.  At that time they attempted to "secure the neck to body" based on an old repair ticket. They drilled through the end of the neck heel all the way through the head block, flooded it with epoxy, inserted a dowel rod and clamped it up.  They shaved the bridge down a little to compensate for the neck angle and did a refret with a bone nut. There was also damage to the side that was repaired and a bridge plate doubler was added. 

We removed the neck and cleaned out the epoxy, reconstituted the dovetail and set the projection to the existing bridge using fish glue and made a bone saddle. This guitar plays really well with action at 5 & 7/64ths with saddle left to come down if needed.  It's a loud guitar even with the added finish.
